GhostMove

GhostMove for iPhone Privacy policy

Established: 2 November 2026

What we collect

  • At purchase: email address, the plan you bought, and a referral code if you came through a referral link. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
  • At license checks: the license key, a random device identifier created by the app, device model and iOS version, app version, and the IP address of the connection (in server logs).
  • When you contact us: the contents of your email.

What we do not collect: location data (neither the location GhostMove sets nor your real location), contacts, photos. Location is never sent to our servers.

Why we use it

  • Issuing, checking and suspending licenses; managing your subscription
  • Billing, refunds and preventing misuse
  • Answering your enquiries
  • Calculating referral fees (referrers see only counts and amounts per referral code, never your personal information)
  • Keeping accounting records required by law

Third parties

  • Stripe, Inc. (payments). Payment data may be processed outside Japan (for example in the United States) under Stripe's policies.
  • Sakura Internet Inc. (servers).
  • Maps, search and routes in the app: Apple Maps and, in some cases, OpenStreetMap's public services (Nominatim and OSRM) receive the words you search for and the coordinates of your start and destination. Each provider follows its own policy.
  • GitHub, Inc. (development disk image download). To change the location on an iPhone, the app needs an Apple development disk image. The first time, and after the iPhone restarts, it downloads that image from a public repository (doronz88/DeveloperDiskImage). GitHub learns the IP address of the connection and the names of the files requested. Our servers are not involved.
  • Apple (checking the development disk image). At the same time, your iPhone's identifiers are sent to Apple's servers, which return a signature for that iPhone. This is Apple's mechanism and does not reach us.
  • The anisette server for the setup tool (GhostMove Setup): the tool gets the device attestation that signing in to Apple requires (anisette) from our server (anisette.revot.jp). The server's logs may keep the IP address of the connection. Your Apple ID and password are not sent to us (they go only to Apple).

How long we keep it

Purchase and billing records are kept for 7 years as required by law. Other records are kept only as long as needed and then deleted.

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Only people who need access can reach the records. License tokens are digitally signed so tampering is detected.

Access, correction and deletion

To ask for access to, correction of or deletion of your information, email contact@revot.jp. We will verify that it is you and respond as the law requires.

Changes

If we change this policy we will say so on this page.
