ID jp.revot.blockade

Last updated: October 19, 2026 — Applies to the iOS app "Bulwark" (bundle ID jp.revot.blockade)
Bulwark is a content blocker that removes ads, trackers and cookie-consent banners in Safari. If blocking breaks a page, you can fix it on the spot. You can check a suspicious link or message, for free, before you open it.
Open Settings > Apps > Safari > Extensions, turn on all four of Bulwark's content-blocker extensions ("Bulwark — Ads," "Bulwark — Trackers," "Bulwark — Annoyances & Social," "Bulwark — Japan & Custom") and "Bulwark — Page Adjustments," and set All Websites to Allow. Bulwark won't block anything in Safari until these are switched on — this is an iOS requirement, not something the app can do for you. Once enabled, the app's Home screen shows the status of each extension under "Protection status." Fixing a page and hiding elements with a tap require iOS 26 or later.
First check that every extension is enabled as above, or open the in-app self-test, which actually requests known ad servers and reports how many your device stopped. For ads still showing on one particular site, open that page, then open the page menu at the left of the address bar (on iPad, tap the Bulwark button in the address bar) > "Bulwark — Page Adjustments" > This Page, and tap any remaining element to hide it directly — that works immediately on just that site.
If a video won't play, you can't sign in, the page looks broken or won't show, or a button or “more” doesn't work, open the same This Page popup and tap “Fix this page.” Pick the symptom that matches what you're seeing — “A video won't play,” “Can't sign in,” “Page looks broken or won't show,” or “A button or ‘more’ doesn't work” — then tap “It works” once it's fixed, or “Still broken” if it isn't. Bulwark relaxes that one site's rules a step at a time until it works, then stops; what it relaxed is saved for that site. You can undo it any time from the same popup, or from the app's "Made in Safari" screen.
Built for Japanese companies and Japanese-language messages. Open the app and tap "Check a link or message" on the Home screen, or use Share > "Check with Bulwark" from Safari, Messages, or Photos. Bulwark compares what you checked against a ledger of official company domains and known fake-message wording, entirely on your device, and shows the source and date behind every result. Results are sorted into confirmed problems, points of concern, and not enough information. It never opens a link for you, and it never claims to detect viruses or guarantee safety — this is not a malware scanner.
Built for Japanese-language messages. Go to Settings > Apps > Messages > Unknown & Spam > SMS Filtering, and choose "Bulwark SMS Filter." In the app, Guardian > Junk SMS shows the exact three rules used. Only messages from senders not already in your contacts are checked, and judging happens entirely on your device (iOS does not pass iMessage to this filter). This feature is iPhone-only and is not offered on iPad.
No — video ads inside other apps (for example YouTube) come from the same server as the video itself and can't be blocked for technical reasons. What Bulwark can and can't block is described as-is in the app and on the App Store.
After you update iOS, opening Bulwark re-checks every extension under the Home screen's "Protection status" and names any that is now off.
Ad and tracker blocking in Safari, the self-test, the full block log, iCloud sync of your allowlist, page repair (described above), and checking links or messages are all free, no purchase required. A single one-time purchase (no subscription, ever) unlocks:
See the app's purchase screen for the current price.
Open the purchase screen in the app and tap "Restore." If you bought Bulwark on another device with the same Apple ID, or you're a Family Sharing member, it unlocks automatically — no account or sign-in beyond your Apple ID is needed.
Refunds are handled directly by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We are not able to issue refunds ourselves.
Open the app's License screen to see every list in use, its publisher, license, and source. The overall rule version and the next scheduled update are shown on the app's Home screen. Full license text is also published at filters.bulwark.revot.jp.
On your own device, and in your own iCloud if you turn on iCloud sync. Nothing is sent to our servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
